Had the opportunity recently to shoot a live show for Syracuse-based band The Feroni Project at Station 58 and I’m so happy I did because, wow, what a show. It’s not often you hear a band jump from Led Zeppelin to Alanis Morrisette but they absolutely nailed it. I had two friends put in some very good words for me and I’m not afraid to admit that that heaped a ton of pressure on me to not only get the shots required but to exceed expectations. I was nervous going into this, I think every photographer is, going into a job, but I find that once I get the camera in my hand it’s a lot easier to channel that nervous energy into doing your job and staying focused. What I like about small venue shows like this is the access you get, being able to shoot the entire show and talking with members of the band.
Hopefully you enjoy these shots! And if you have a band or know one that needs live or promo shots, hit up my contact page to get in touch with me.
